Michael Sammarro DC, MSOM, LAc*
Mike is currently a DC and MSOM student at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. He received a B.A. in Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA in 2017, where he played Division 1 Men’s Lacrosse. After completing a 17 year career, he realized his passion was never about sports, it is about movement. Movement is big; it is an integral part of the complex mosaic of wellness. He teaches functional movement at local and global levels, helping create archetypal body shapes from which transition, skill acquisition and transfer may occur. His practice is influenced by rehabilitation, manipulative therapy, oriental medicine, yoga, martial arts, powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, dance, gymnastics, and locomotion. Coupled with movement, he uses nutrition, herbs and acupuncture to treat a variety of orthopedic conditions and chronic diseases. His goal is to teach patients how to transcend immobility, sickness and pain to mobility and wellness; in other words: to lead a better quality of life.
